The disc is 5/8 inch (1.6cm) wide and cups the birthstone crystals held within it. I'd suggest a maximum of 5 birthstone crystals, but am happy to add as many as you like! I can fit the numbers 1-9 within the heart (so I'm afraid if you have 10 children or more you are out of luck!)
