Purchasing
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our website until you find what you want then click on Add to Basket. A running total will appear of what you have ordered. You can continue to add more items or remove some at any time. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. You can change the contents of your basket or cancel your order at any time - as your request is not confirmed until you enter payment details.
Colour selections
Colour charts are provided as an indication only. Unfortunately it is difficult to accurately replicate colours since every computer monitor reflects them differently. Therefore, if you require a specific colour to match a particular item, please contact us to purchase a sample crystal before proceeding with your order. We can send you up to five sample crystals or pearls for a one-off charge of £2.51 (UK- worldwide charges are £3.51. This charge is only refundable if you place an order with us for a completed piece of jewellery within 28 days of your sample order. We will refund a maximum of £2.51 on your order- only one order for samples can be placed at any one time. Additional shipping charges will be payable if more than 5 sample beads are required. If you proceed to order additional sample beads, we will be unable to refund the cost of postage for any additional sets. The samples sent will be 4mm sizes, as they are intended to show you the colour, not neccessarily the size used in the product you are considering purchasing.
In the unfortunate (and very rare) event that a colour you request is not available, we will contact you to suggest an alternative or arrange a full refund with our sincerest apologies.
Processing
When you place an order, we process it immediately. However, as each item is bespoke, we order the components upon receipt of your order. We therefore aim to despatch your order within 10 working days. If you select our standard delivery service, please allow up to 15 working days for delivery. Unfortunately once items have left us, we cannot be held responsible for Royal Mail delays.
We understand that sometimes you need an item in a hurry (forgotten an important birthday boys?!?). Our priority delivery service guarantees delivery within 6 working days (guaranteed by Royal Mail Special Delivery). This is the only way to guarantee delivery within a specific timeframe.
We also offer a Special delivery service, which means your items will be made within our usual 10 working day despatch time frame, and then sent to you via next working day Special Delivery. If you need guaranteed Saturday delivery please ask for a quotation, as Royal Mail do charge a little extra for this service.
Payment
We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards via Paypal’s secure online payment service. This is our preferred method of payment, but it does require you to register for an account with EmroyJewels.co.uk which is a requirement of the shopping cart software we use.
If you do not want to open an account, please use the contact us or ask us a question form for the relevant item, and we can send you an invoice to pay by GoogleCheckout, Nochex PayPal or standard cheque.
Please note as we are a small business, we are not required to register for VAT and so you do not pay VAT on any of our items - meaning you get an even better bargain!
Shipping
Each item is carefully gift boxed, and then packaged to ensure it reaches you in tip-top condition.
Standard delivery is via first class recorded delivery in the UK, and is charged at just £2.50 per order to any UK address. Delivery worldwide by an equivalent mail service is £3.50 regardless of order value.
Special delivery uses Royal Mail's "Special Delivery" service, and costs £5.50. This guarantees delivery of your jewellery the next working day after despatch, and includes insurance for the items whilst in transit of up to £100.
Priority delivery uses Royal Mail's "Special Delivery" service, and costs £8.50 (£10 for international orders). This guarantees delivery of your items within 6 working days.
Remittance Terms
Please note that all goods must be paid for in full before shipping. Goods remain the property of Emma Bucktowar until payment is received in full. We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of any order, for any reason and will refund payment for rejected orders in full.
Bracelet sizes
Standard bracelet sizes for women range from 6.5inches (16.5cm) to 7.5inches (19cm). The average size is 7 inches (17.7cm), so if you are buying the bracelet as a gift and are unsure, this is a good size to opt for. Sizes on our bracelets are approximate – we will aim to match the size you have requested. However, this is dictated somewhat by the design you have selected. – We can’t cut a bead in half!
There may be slight variations in the length you requested, and the length you receive. We’re confident that you’ll never notice as 99% of our bracelets fit perfectly first time. However, if the bracelet is the wrong size due to our error in design, you may return it for a free remake. If you are ordering the bracelet as a gift, you estimated the size and it doesn’t fit the recipient, we are happy to remake it for you, subject to a £2.50 fee and the cost of return postage.
Returns & Cancellations
I want you to feel confident when shopping with us so our returns policy is very simple and straightforward for your ease.
Every jewellery item is bespoke and made specifically to your request based on your preferred colours. We do not stock any items ready made and so buy the beads for you based on your requirements. This means that you are not entitled to cancel your order under the Distance Selling regulations and unfortunately we cannot accept any returns based on customer error. If you are unsure about the colours you have selected, and want them to match a specific item please contact us and arrange the purchase of individual sample crystals before placing an order.
This does not affect your statutory rights, and in the unlikely event of a fault with your item, or an error on our part, please do contact me within 14 days of receipt. I will be happy to provide a replacement item or issue you with a full refund upon receipt of the returned item. Please note: returns must be made within 28 days of your order.
Procedure for returns
Please contact me first to confirm the return address.
Items should be wrapped securely to avoid damage in transit.
I strongly recommend that you use registered post, as I cannot accept liability for any lost or damaged items. Proof of posting does not constitute proof of delivery. The item will only be deemed returned when signed for by us.
The refund will be credited within 28 days of receipt, provided the item returned meets the above criteria.
Your Privacy
Your privacy and trust is important to us and we will treat any details you provide us with respectfully. We do not participate in unsolicited mailing (and avoid working with those who do), and will never give your contact information to other organisations unless legally required to do so.
For casual visitors to our website, we do not collect any information regarding domains, e–mail addresses, or any other personal details.
If you have registered an account with us in order to make a purchase, you can opt into our mailing list so that we can keep you informed of any special offers on a periodic basis. However, we understand if you don’t want to receive this information. We will only use your details to send you the goods you purchased and our regular mailings (if you choose to enrol for this). Your details will not be used for any other purpose. If you wish to be removed from our database once you have placed the order, please let us know in the "comments" box at checkout, or at any other time in the future. You details will be stored within our database until you advise us to remove them, as this allows you to log back in to your account and view the status of your orders.
We use cookies to help maintain a consistent experience for our customers. Cookies are used throughout our site for the shopping basket facility as this enables us to keep track of the products in your shopping basket. At no time is any personal information stored within a cookie. Visitors to our site can refuse cookies by turning them off in their browser, however doing this will mean that items cannot be purchased online as the shopping basket relies on cookies. You may still make a purchase by contacting us to discuss your requirements.
